FAQ:

Do I need to choose a treatment before I book?

"Nope! We'll chat beforehand and tailor your session to what your body needs- whether that's deep tissue work, relaxation, or a blend."

Why does my stomach rumble during treatments?

"Totally normal! It's actually a good sign- it means your nervous system is switching into rest and digest mode, which is exactly what we want."

What should I wear for my treatment?

"Whatever you're comfortable in, Most people undress to their underwear for massage, you're always fully covered with towels- only the area being worked on is exposed. Reflexology and Reiki are fully clothed."

What if I fall asleep or snore?

"Honestly, that's a complement. It means you feel safe and relaxed. No need to be embarrassed- it happens all the time."

How will I feel afterwards?

"Most people feel relaxed, lighter or even sleepy. Occasionally you may feel emotional, achy and tender after a deep tissue treatment, or a little tired- this is normal and part of the healing process. "

What is a knot?

" It's that grumpy bit of muscle that's holding on for dear life. Knots form when you're stuck in stress, tension, or overuse mode. Muscle fibres get stuck together and stop sliding smoothly."

What is Cupping?

"Cupping uses gentle suction to lift the skin and tissue. I glide silicone cups over your skin to boost circulation and help release tight or stuck muscle fibres. It can leave red marks, but they're totally harmless and last a few days."

Do you bring everything for home visits?

"Yes- massage table, oils, towels, music (if you like). All I need is a warm, quiet space to work in."

Why does my nose get blocked or run during a massage?

"It's totally normal- It's a sign your body's relaxing! Face down positioning and deep rest can activate sinus and lymph drainage. I always keep tissues close by."

How do the Hot WaveStones Work?

"WaveStones are smooth long tools made of jade that I warm up and use during treatments. The heat relaxes your muscles faster, so I can work deeper without extra pressure. It's deeply soothing."

How often should I have a massage?

"It depends on your goals. For ongoing issues, weekly or fortnightly treatment may help. For maintenance or general wellbeing, monthly is a good start."

What areas do you cover for home visits?

"I'm based in Guildford, I try to stay within a 10 mile radius, If you're not sure, just get in touch and ask."

Can I have a massage if I'm pregnant?

"Yes- I offer pregnancy-safe treatments, but only after the first trimester. Massage can be a beautiful way to support you body as it changes. Just let me know you're expecting when you book, so I can adapt everything safely and comfortably."
